Camps

Two exciting Day Camps operate annually and is open to children aged 5-13 years. The first, March Break Camp, runs during the March break for one week. The second, Noah's Ark Summer Camp, has operated successfully for nearly 15 years. The current capacity of the both camps is 35 children and it runs for six weeks in July and August. Some of the activities  include indoor and outdoor sports, arts and crafts, Bible study, games, swimming, field trips and more! Both programs are designed to enhance self-esteem, develop social and cognitive skills, along with conflict resolution, awareness of social justice and spirituality.

In addition to kids participating in camp, we encourage youth between the ages of 13-29 to join our camp team as part of our Leaders in Training (LIT) Program. In this capacity, they will gain valuable experience in time management, program planning and coordinating and will have an opportunity to grow in their leadership skills.

Faith Works

Because DYC is faith-based, we include Bible study/worship as part of our daily activities at camp. This usually occurs first thing in the morning, before any other activity begins, and is a time for children to learn and discuss their thoughts and ideas on variety of character-building topics. Topics generally relate to love, respect, commitment, kindness, generousity, justice, team work/spirit, self-control, integrity and honesty. Children often get an opportunity to act out in skits, read/tell stories, watch short video clips on a topic or find creative ways to demonstrate a topic. Children do not have to be of a Christian faith to join the camp or participate in the discussions. All our programs are open to all regardless of religious beliefs.
